Day of Enchantment
Open to the public
Nature, Magic, Imagination
Open to the public – Required attendance of Early Childhood and 1st, 2nd and 3rd Grades.
The Day of Enchantment is magical day where young children come dressed in costumes inspired by the fairy kingdoms and the natural worlds they enchant.
They come dressed as gnomes, butterflies, birds, elves, animal friends, wizards, princes, and princesses. All are welcome.
On this day, outside in our garden, with the sound of soft beautiful music, families get a chance to create a fairy village of fairy homes, made out of natural materials such as pine cones, palm fronds, leaves and seeds, feathers and shells among other natural treasures. There will be open early childhood classrooms for newcomers to explore, a Waldorf puppet show, an organic bake sale, face painting, and handmade items for sale.
Symbolism: Kings. Queens. Princes. Princesses. Butterflies. Ladybugs. Fairies. Gnomes.
Verse:
Good morning, dear earth
Good morning, dear sun
Good morning, dear resting stones
And beasts on the run
Good morning, dear flowers
And birds in the trees
Good morning to you, good morning to me!
