In the 8th Grade combined Art/Handwork class, students made watercolor paints from ingredients that can be found in the kitchen. They combined various spices and berries to see what colors they get.
Below is a color palette one student made and some of the pictures they painted using these paints.
Students also worked on Form Drawings. These endless knots or eternal knots are a common symbol in Tibet and Mongolia. They are working with these as an extension of the Geography and History of Asia block we finished earlier this year.
